Latest version.
  • In the installation, repair and maintenance of telephone, telegraph and similar circuits, the following requirements shall be complied with:

    (a)

Wires exposed to probable contact with the electric light or power wires shall enter buildings through nonabsorbent insulating tubes slanting upwards toward the inside. These wires shall have drip loops immediately outside of the building entrance.

    (b)

Service wires which are grouped so that more than six (6) single wires or three (3) pairs of wires leave one pole or fixture to terminate on one building shall be bunched together, either being run through rings attached to a suspension wire or being run by some equivalent method which keeps them grouped in the form of a cable. Wires thus bunched shall, after reaching a building, be distributed along its wall by means of rings, screw eyes or other efficient supports. These groups of wires shall be kept at heights as regulated by section 99.770. (Code 1960, As Amend., § 145.050)
