§ 385.255. Fraudulent statements relating to condemnation to induce sale of real property.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to attempt to induce the sale of real property by:

    (1)

    Circulating or publishing a false statement, oral or written, relating to a corporation, association, partnership or individual, intending thereby to give the false impression that the corporation, association, partnership or individual has condemnation powers; or by

    (2)

    Circulating or publishing a false statement, oral or written, intending thereby to give the false impression that public action involving condemnation has been or is being proposed involving said real property. (81-Or-154, § 1, 6-12-81)
