§ 93.90. Sidewalk to be covered.

  • Whenever any new building abutting directly upon any street within the city shall have attained the height of one (1) story, or whenever it may become necessary to unroof or take down any building so abutting upon any street within the city, or to perform any work thereon whereby risk may be incurred to any person passing the same, the party or parties erecting, unroofing, taking down or performing any work on any such building, or the owner thereof, shall erect a good and substantial covering over the sidewalk, at least four (4) feet in width and having headroom of not less than seven (7) feet six (6) inches in height, to be approved by the building official.
