§ 52.110. Soils engineering report.

  • A soils engineering report, when required by the city engineer, based upon his/her determination that the condition of the soils is unknown or unclear so that additional information is required to protect against erosion or other hazard, shall be based on adequate and necessary test borings, and shall contain all the information listed below. Recommendations included in the report and approved by the city engineer shall be incorporated in the grading plans and/or specifications.

    (1)

    Data regarding the nature, distribution, strength, and erodibility of existing soils.

    (2)

    If applicable, data regarding the nature, distribution, strength, and erodibility of soil to be placed on the site.

    (3)

    Conclusions and recommendations for grading procedures.

    (4)

    Conclusions and recommended designs for interim soil stabilization devices and measures, and for permanent soil stabilization after construction is completed.

    (5)

    Design criteria for corrective measures when necessary.

    (6)

    Opinions and recommendations covering the stability of the site. (96-Or-042, § 1, 5-10-96)
