§ 47.170. Coffee roaster after burner requirements.

All coffee roasters installed after June 30, 2008, must be equipped with an afterburner
to minimize emissions of particulate matter, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein,
smoke and odor. The afterburner must be compatible with the size, capacity and intended
use of the coffee roaster. The afterburner must be operational at all times during
roasting and the operating temperature must be within manufacturer recommendations.
Coffee roasters installed prior to June 30, 2008 may be required to install such a
device as deemed necessary by the commissioner to abate ongoing and chronic nuisance
odor or other air pollution concerns.
