§ 16.235. Payment of certain claims and judgments.

The city finance officer shall, without awaiting the formal approval of the city council, pay settlements of tort claims against the city and its employees in amounts under one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), upon the written authorization of the city attorney. The finance officer shall also, without the formal approval of the city council, pay judgments of the Hennepin County Conciliation Court against the city immediately upon the expiration of the period for appealing said judgments, unless an appeal has been taken. The city attorney's office shall notify the finance officer of the entry of conciliation court judgments from which no appeal has been taken.
