§ 14.90. Approval of insurance policies and bonds.

  • (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code to the contrary requiring the filing of insurance policies or surety bonds subject to the approval of the city attorney, such policies of insurance or surety bonds may be filed with the designated department without approval of the city attorney, provided that insurance policies shall have attached thereto an endorsement, the form of which shall have been approved by the city attorney, and bonds shall contain provisions complying with the conditions of the applicable ordinance or resolution of the city council.

    (b)

    Such insurance policies or bonds shall, before acceptance, be approved by the department where they are filed, as complying with all requirements as to the period and amount and conditions of coverage, as required by any applicable ordinance or resolution of the city council.
