Editor's note

With a Charter amendment on November 8, 1983, the terminology for a member of the city council was changed from "Alderman" to "Council Member." As ordinances are enacted subsequently to November 8, 1983, the new terms are being used in those ordinances; therefore, over a period of time, the change will eventually be reflected in the Code.
