§ 452.10. Establishment.

  • Pursuant to the authority granted by Laws of Minnesota 1996, Chapter 471, Article 8, Section 44, there is hereby established a special service district (otherwise referred to herein as the "district") wherein the city may provide, or contract for public services to be provided, of a kind or to a degree not required or performed elsewhere in the city. Said special service district shall consist of the following area, except for those portions thereof within those zoning districts in which business, commercial and industrial uses are not permitted under the Minneapolis Zoning Code:

    That part of Minneapolis bounded by a line parallel to and three hundred twenty-two (322) feet southerly of the southerly line and its easterly extension of 42nd Street West, centerline of Sheridan Avenue South, northeasterly line and its northwesterly extension of Lot twenty-eight (28) in Block five (5) of First Division of Remington Park, southeasterly lines of Lots twenty-eight (28), twenty-seven (27) and twenty-six (26) in Block five (5) of First Division of Remington Park, northeasterly lines of Lots twenty-one (21) and twenty (20) in Block five (5) of First Division of Remington Park, southeasterly line and its southwesterly extension of Lot twenty (20) in Block five (5) of First Division of Remington Park, centerline of 43rd Street West, southeasterly line and its northeasterly and southwesterly extensions of Lot ten (10) in Block seven (7) of First Division of Remington Park, centerline of the former right-of-way of the Minneapolis, Lyndale and Minnetonka Railway as shown in First Division of Remington Park, southeasterly line and its northeasterly and southwesterly extensions of Lot nineteen (19) in Block eight (8) of First Division of Remington Park, centerline of 44th Street West and its westerly extension, centerline of Upton Avenue South and its southwesterly and northerly extensions, southerly line and its easterly extension of Lot four (4) in Block one (1) of Second Division of Remington Park, westerly lines of Lots four (4), three (3), two (2) and one (1) and the northerly extension of said westerly line of Lot one (1) in Block one (1) of Second Division of Remington Park, centerline of 44th Street West, a north-south line perpendicular to the southerly line of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park (which said north-south line passes through a point in the southerly line of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park distant one hundred (100) feet westerly of the southeasterly corner of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park), a line running from a point in the southerly line of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park distant one hundred (100) feet westerly of the southeasterly corner of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park to a point in the westerly line of Lot one (1) in Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park (which said last mentioned point is also on a line parallel to and fifty (50) feet southwesterly of the northeasterly line of Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park), westerly line and its northerly extension of Lot one (1) in Block twenty-six (26) of First Division of Remington Park, centerline of the former right-of-way of the Minneapolis, Lyndale and Minnetonka Railway as shown in First Division of Remington Park, northwesterly line and its southwesterly and northeasterly extensions of Lot seven (7) in Block twenty-five (25) of First Division of Remington Park, centerline of 43rd Street West, centerline and its southerly extension of Vincent Avenue South, northerly line and its westerly extension of Lot fifteen (15) in Block twenty-two (22) of First Division of Remington Park and westerly lines of Lots eleven (11), ten (10), nine (9), eight (8), seven (7) and six (6) in Block twenty-two (22) of First Division of Remington Park.
