§ 393.30. Violations.

  • In addition to the penalties prescribed for violation of this Code or Minnesota Statutes, the weapon of any person convicted of violating any of the provisions of this chapter concerning the carrying of weapons or Minnesota Statutes relating to the carrying of weapons or firearms, or the use thereof in violation of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 609 or an ordinance in conformity therewith, shall be confiscated if such weapon was in the immediate possession of the person at the time of the violation or used in such violation. Arrest or citation of the person or the filing of a complaint against him is notice that any weapon in his immediate possession at the time of the offense or which is used in the offense charged shall be confiscated upon his conviction of any offense referred to above.
