§ 289.105. Standards of performance.

Generally accepted safety standards will be observed in installing, servicing and testing portable fire extinguishers. The current edition of the Standard for the Installation, Maintenance and Use of Portable Fire Extinguishers (NFPA #10), and the methods for hydrostatic testing of compressed gas cylinders (CGA C1), shall be considered as evidence of generally accepted safety standards.
