§ 229.90. Abatement on public property.

  • The commissioner of health shall remove or cause to be removed and abated all rat-related nuisances from public property insofar as can be done within the facilities available, and within the limits of the funds provided for such activity. The commissioner of health shall take such action as the commissioner may deem necessary for the elimination and abatement of rat harborages and for the destruction of rats or other rodents by the use of gases or any other substance, mechanism or device which the commissioner deems shall be employed for such purposes, and may take such other and further action as the commissioner may deem necessary in connection with the administration of this section.
