§ 227.30. Responsibility to abate public nuisance.

  • Public nuisances upon privately owned property shall be removed and abated by the owner, the owner's agent or the occupant of the premises after notice as provided in section 227.20, and the cost of such removal or abatement shall be paid by said owner, agent or occupant. If such notice is not complied with, the city shall cause removal or abatement of such nuisance, and the cost thereof shall be assessed against the premises in the manner provided in section 227.40.
