PB19-1. - Merit based procedures.

  • The human resources department shall establish, implement, and oversee merit based procedures for assessing applicants and filling vacancies in the classified service. The procedures shall be based on sound human resources principles that:

    (1)

    Support the values and goals of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation;

    (2)

    Are based on bona fide job qualifications;

    (3)

    Seek to eliminate personal and/or institutional bias in hiring decisions;

    (4)

    Include measures that promote continuous improvement in the hiring process; and

    (5)

    Result in an eligibility register consisting of a pool of qualified applicants. (Pk. Bd. Ord. No. 2017-102 , § 1, 10-4-17)
