PARK AND RECREATION BOARD CODE OF ORDINANCES

ADOPTING ORDINANCE No. 76-101

AN ORDINANCE REVISING AND CODIFYING THE SUBSTANTIVE ORDINANCE LAW OF THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS, AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 234, MINNESOTA LAWS OF 1959.

THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

;i1=5.10p;Section 1. The substantive ordinances of the Park and Recreation Board of the City of Minneapolis are hereby revised and codified in accordance with Chapter 234, Minnesota Laws of 1959. Such codification consists of Chapters 1 through 10, and is hereby adopted as the "Park Board Code of Ordinances."

;i1=5.10p;Section 2. All Park and Recreation Board ordinances in conflict with such Code are hereby repealed from and after the 1st day of May, 1976.

;i1=5.10p;Section 3. Park and Recreation Board ordinances passed in the future shall be deemed to be amendments or additions to the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances, and shall be incorporated therein; provided, however, that no part of such Code shall be amended or repealed except at a regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Board subsequent to a regular meeting of the Board at which the said amendment or repeal shall have been proposed and presented in writing, and no such amendment or repeal may be passed except by an affirmative vote of a majority of the entire Board.

;i1=5.10p;Section 4. The repeal of any ordinance or portion thereof by the adoption of the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances shall not affect or impair any act done or right vested or accrued, or proceeding, suit or prosecution had or commenced in any cause before such repeal takes effect; but every such act done, or right vested or accrued, or proceeding, suit or prosecution had or commenced shall remain in full force and effect to all intents and purposes as if such repeal had not taken place. No offense committed, and no liability, penalty or forfeiture, either civilly or criminally incurred prior to the time when any such ordinance or part thereof shall be repealed by the adoption of the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances, shall be discharged or affected by such repeal; but prosecutions and suits for such offenses, liabilities, penalties or forfeitures shall be instituted and proceeded with in all respects as if such ordinance or part thereof had not been repealed.

;i1=5.10p;Section 5. Every person convicted of a violation of any provision of the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment for not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both, as provided in section PB1-5 of such Code.

;i1=5.10p;Section 6. If any chapter, section, sentence, clause or other part of the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances should be adjudged void or of no effect, for any reason whatsoever, such decision shall not affect the validity of any of the other portions of the Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances.

;i1=5.10p;Section 7. The Park and Recreation Board Code of Ordinances shall be printed and made available to the public along with the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, and shall take effect on the 1st day of May, 1976.
