§ 2. Standing Committees.

  • Standing committees are responsible for providing direction, setting priorities, and ensuring coordination between related policies, programs, and services within their assigned jurisdictions; providing forums for public participation in the City's decision-making processes; and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of policy and program decisions through the City's departments and divisions. It is the duty of each standing committee to review and make recommendations on matters referred to it, or which arise within its jurisdiction, and to forward its recommendations on the same to the full City Council.
